About me
Scorpius Nutrition is owned and led by its founder, Nutritional Therapist Katie Wade.
I obtained a degree in business studies and trained as an accountant. I then went on to work in Financial Services at a senior management level in the City of London and consequently I have personal and client experience of the importance of balancing diet and lifestyle in a stressful and busy office environment. I believe passionately that eating should be an enjoyable and satisfying experience and that good food is essential for health and happiness.
I have a degree in Nutritional Medicine from the University of West London and I am a full member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT). I am also registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and as such I am bound by their code of conduct.
I regularly attend seminars and lectures to keep my knowledge and skills up to date and I employ strict data security procedures to comply with the Data Protection Act and ensure that personal data about individuals is kept safe and secure.
Although I see people with a vast array of conditions, I have a particular interest in women's health, digestive imbalance including food intolerances, weight loss and how poor nutrition may result in stress.
I practise from my home-office in Teddington. As a fully insured integrated healthcare professional, I will be pleased to work in partnership with you, your GP and your existing healthcare team, as required. Please call or email to arrange a no-obligation chat.
